Explore Caracas: Art, History, and Culture
The tour lasts approximately 5 to 6 hours. This walking tour will allow us to explore Caracas in greater depth, learn about its history, and understand the current situation in Venezuela. The tour covers approximately 9 kilometers, so it is recommended to pack light and wear comfortable shoes.
Route
- We will make a brief stop in the city center, where we will visit Simón Bolívar's house, Bolívar Square, the Caracas Cathedral, the City Council, and the National Pantheon, which houses the body of our liberator Simón Bolívar in an impressive building dating from 1870.
- We will also head to the Mausoleum of Hugo Chávez, who was president of Venezuela for 15 years and whose remains are buried in one of Caracas' most emblematic neighborhoods, 23 de Enero. We are likely to see children playing baseball, Venezuela's national sport, where many stars compete in the Major Leagues.
- We'll also enjoy urban art murals in Caracas, which reflect various moments in our history and culture, present throughout the city.
