Interesting facts

• Decreed a National Park in 1962 and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is divided into two large areas: the Western Sector (Canaima) and the Eastern Sector (La Gran Sabana).
• It is one of the most magnetic tourist hubs in the world due to its exotic endemic flora and fauna, besides being the ancestral home and settlement of the Pemon indigenous community.
• It houses colossal wonders such as Angel Falls, the world's tallest waterfall with a 979-meter free fall, and the imposing Kukenan Falls with its impressive 674 meters in height.
