Cubagua is the smallest of the islands that, together with Margarita and Coche, make up the state of Nueva Esparta in Venezuela. It has an area of only 24.5 km². Its arid terrain consists of extensive plains, white sands, and clean, idyllic beaches. It is a virtually untouched island.
